Swift observed PKS0235+16 for 6.9ks on 2008-09-02.499
Swift/XRT
detected an X-ray source with
the net count rate of 0.0988 +/-0.0040 cts/s at the position
of the transient.
Fixing the absorbing column density
to the Galactic value in the direction of the source,
n_H = 6.81x10^20 cm^-2 (Kalberla et al. 2005 A&A, 440, 775),
the spectrum can be fit with the absorbed power law with the photon
index of 1.22 +/-0.06 and the unabsorbed 0.3-10.0 keV flux
of 4.8x10^-12 ergs/cm^2/s.

An ultraviolet source is detected at the position of the transient
with the following UVOT magnitudes (Vega system):
   JD        Band   Mag.  Err.
 2454712.00  UVW2  18.91  0.06
 2454712.00  UVM2  18.56  0.07
 2454712.00  UVW1  18.20  0.06
 2454712.00    U   18.03  0.06
 2454712.00    B   17.95  0.04
 2454712.00    V   16.95  0.05

Taking into account the Galactic reddening of E(B-V)=.070 (Schlafly
et al. 2011 ApJ, 737, 103) these magnitudes suggest a black-body
emission with the temperature ~ 8000 K.

FYI: with the extinction correction and Poole2008 mag2flux conversion we get
T               = 7969.69          +/- 1073         (13.46%)
FYI: with the extinction correction and Poole2008 mag2flux conversion but as a function of wavelength we get
T               = 7970.66          +/- 1073         (13.46%)
FYI: assuming NO extinction and uvotsource fluxes we get
T               = 7486.37          +/- 966.4        (12.91%)
FYI: for UV-only filters with the extinction correction and Poole2008 mag2flux conversion as a function of wavelength we get
T               = 10612.7          +/- 620.2        (5.844%)

FYI: APPLYING z=0.94 for UV-only filters with the extinction correction and Poole2008 mag2flux conversion as a function of wavelength we get
T               = 20588.6          +/- 1203         (5.844%)
